Hades is often misunderstood, painted as a calculating Villain or even a Deity who does not care. Hades within the Percy Jackson series is cunning and has so many layers to him. Not to mention he is Nico's Godly Parent. He is Cabin 13! This blog looks at diving in to what we know about Hades within the Percy Jackson series and figuring it out once and for all. Is Hades the true hero of the franchise? Or is Hades the true villain in Percy Jackson? Let's dive in - Hades a Hero! You decide!
Lauryn Chapman Honestly, Hades is boss. Like, anyone who says otherwise, fight me. Kidding, kidding. He was the dude in the family who got the bad side of things, but he was still a pretty good dude for a god.
Nikoleta Selinofoto He is my dad, and a black sheep but he is true to his word, or as close to it as he can be. He also didn't father any kids once they made that pact that he was forced into, he is given the shit end of every deal and all he wants is for his work to go easier. It doesn't work because of his family and idiot mortals. The article is wonderful, thank you for helping everyone understand dad.
Lily Iris Given that Hades is my dad, he’s definitely misunderstood. He’s a great guy, and overall, anything but a villain (besides the part where he imprisoned Percy). Anyway, great article and love the puns! XD
Elio Primavera i think hades was misunderstood too. he was practically shunned from this family and sent to guard the underworld…who wouldn’t be affected by that?i loved reading this, paris!
Lorenzo Salviati Hmm... I say he's misunderstood! Though, as mortals I doubt we can properly comprehend whatever the gods do. He's just an interesting fellow for sure!
Averi Kerrigan this is such an interesting take! never saw hades this way before, but even i'm questioning everything i thought i knew o: maybe he's not as bad as we were made to believe... this was a wonderful read, paris! (minus the puns)
Kwon Ji-Rin I agree . Hades is misunderstood and I love him. I’d rather have him as my father than Ares XDXD. love Love the puns!!
Isadora Ingrid Hades is really cool! if you ask me, i can't think of anyone better than himself who can be the Lord of the Underworld. He does an amazing job! On that note.....i need to know moreee..like......Cerberus likes underworld cuz of the Styx???
Kyoko Kirigiri I'm obligated to say I like my father lol. I suppose he is a hero and yes for someone who rules over the underworld he definitely doesn't cause as much chaos as you would expect! Percy did solve the bolt/helm war in the beginning though so we can atleast give him credit for that XD Also loveeee the puns!!
Caspian DeLuca I definitely think Hades is misunderstood in the series! He is such a cool character! Go Hades!
