In the two upcoming weeks, we're diving into creatures and monsters! Many of the most famous stories from Greek mythology see heroes and gods fighting against monstrous beasts, and indeed these monsters were integral to the tales. As a result, many of the monsters are better known than their opponents, although this is not always the case. Because today, we're looking into Centaurs.

In Greek mythology, Centaurus is the father of the race of mythological beasts known as the centaurs or Ixionidae. They were a tribe of half-man, half-horse savages who inhabited the mountains and forests of Thessalian Magnesia.
They were a primitive race who made their homes in caves, hunted wild animals for food, and armed themselves with rocks and tree branches or even arrows.
