Class Debrief

Have you ever wondered which classes to take but wanted to know more? Well, here you are.  Each week we will look at a different class offered at Camp Half-Blood.

Today's class is Arts and Crafts

Hello, my dear demigods! Today we will be discussing a very interesting, very important, and very- colorful class? You guessed it, we’re covering Arts and Crafts! Painting, wood-crafting, sculpting, oh my! The world of Arts and Crafts is quite big- this class is a must-take for anyone hoping to polish up (or make some) artistic abilities!

You don’t need to be a child of Aphrodite to make something look pretty, nor do you have to be a child of Iris to fully immerse yourself in all the colors of the rainbow. This class has something for everyone! Whether your talent lies with wood, watercolors, art history, or design, the class is very flexible, molding itself to your liking. Exercise your creativity, campers!

The class is taught by the amazing Samuel Amherst. Only 822 years young, this Hunter of Artemis and son of Hecate will completely blow you away.

If I had to pick a teacher, he would definitely be on my list. I mean, come on - he’s practically ancient! He must know everything! He does an excellent job keeping the class fun and engaging, alongside his AI Jamie Swift.

This class will cover quite a lot in the span of seven years. From seasonal crafts, sketching, painting, sculpting, photography, art history and myths, and more art mediums, Arts and Crafts is definitely something you shouldn’t miss. Even Evlin Cealleigh, a ten-year-old daughter of Nemesis in year five says:

“Arts and Crafts is a humorous class, with amusing lessons, they always make me laugh”

Expand your creative mind! Have fun and learn how to make stunning masterpieces! Step right up, demigods- the sky is the limit!
