Welcome to the Magic Shop

Hi, everyone! Thank you for coming to my new post series, Welcome to the Magic Shop! In this series, we are going to talk about some magical and nice items that may be useful for your demigod life! Today, we are going to talk about winged shoes!

Hello, demigods! How are you doing today? I hope you all are great! Anyways, this is my first Welcome to the Magic Shop blog and I hope you all like it! This time, we are going to talk about the winged shoes, they are one of the most well-known items of the Percy Jackson saga, and of course, everyone loves them! Without further ado, let's start!

The shoes are similar to basketball shoes or Converse Chuck Taylors, but with an "H" instead of the star, which makes sense, they are from Hermes! Because of that common appearance, the winged shoes can pass simply by mortals without any suspicious activity, but, when you least expect it (or when you say Maia), wings grow in both sides of the shoes!

After the word, "Maia" is said and the wings grow, the shoes allow the user to fly! It works the same way in the reverse when you are already in the air and you say "Maia", the wings disappear and the user falls 'carefully' in the ground. The word "Maia" coming from the name of Hermes' mother, a minor Titaness and eldest of the Pleiades, Maia.

The winged shoes are usually given as a gift by Hermes to his children, that's why Luke Castellan gave his own winged shoes to Percy Jackson, even if he had bad purposes.

But shhh, don't tell the Hermes kids that we also can get their winged shoes! If you want to get a nice pair of winged shoes, you can go to San Francisco, in the Western States, if you enter in Leo & Lou's store, you can buy it!

I really hope you all buy the winged shoes, they are beautiful and really useful! But mainly, I wish that you enjoyed reading it! Love to everyone!

Baek, out!
