The Dining Pavilion

“Today's morning announcement: Avyn Prose, you have failed to slap me to Tartarus. MUAHAHAHA! Also, Troy Miller, please come forward and give me some attention, thank you. Enjoy yer meals, y'all.”

Let me bring you to one of my workplaces today. You guessed it — the Dining Pavilion! The lovely dryads and I serve you campers healthy meals to help you stay nutritious and strong. Meals are at 8AM, 12:30PM, and 6PM, so be sure to come on time to hear the latest camp announcements.

The place is absolutely beautiful! Greek marble columns surround the area, but void of walls and ceiling. Not to worry, it doesn't get that hot. To one side, you can even look over the sea; sometimes you can even feel the gentle sea breeze drifting in between the marble columns. Elegant white tablecloths with purple lining cover each cabin's table and the food — always the best produce of fruits and meat for the campers (and to the gods)!

As beautiful as the pavilion is, chaos are still inevitable. For the sake of us dryads who clear up the area, here are some tips to help you respect and maintain our lovely pavilion.
  1. Keep to your cabin's table. Certain feuds have risen just because some campers decide to sit their butts on other seats, which often leads to. . .
  2. Food Fights! Please don't! The aftermath is not fun for the dryads, so unless you campers volunteer to clean up after yourselves, please avoid it. It's not good to waste food. We work hard picking the best fruits to serve you ;-;
  3. Do not be destructive. We already have a long crack on the marble floor, and it's unsightly to add another one. Additionally, please don't destroy our tall marble columns. They've been there for so long. Control your abilities and yourselves.
  4. Tribute to the gods. Always offer a portion of your meat to the gods before you eat. They can get moody if they are forgotten. Pro tip: they prefer fatty over lean meat, so you might want to offer that especially if you're asking them for favors.
Now if you'll excuse me, I must tend to my mealtime duties. Please join me next time as we tour and learn more about Camp Half-Blood! Is there someplace in camp you'd like to know more about? Let me know below and let's explore camp together!

Love,
Daphne
