Hera's Spotlight

 

What is UP Campers? How are we feeling? Relaxed? Well fed? Had plenty of sleep? Cool cool.. on to what I was saying. 

 

 

How familiar are you with Eurus? You know.. son of Eos and Astraeus? God of Autumn and the East Wind? He's one of four wind gods and in total control of the air. Like, not as much control as some people.. like Aeolus and Zeus but close enough! He can fly, make and control wind, and is super fast! Part of what he can do with his control over Autumn is making plants rot and lower temperatures! I definitely missed him this past summer. He might be one of the least discussed wind gods, but we have major respect for him. 

 

 

Want to know who else has some major play in Autumn? I'll give you a hint. She's the daughter of Rhea and Kronos and super into the harvest! Give up? Alright alright, I got ya. It's Demeter! She's the goddess of the harvest and agriculture in general as well as some other cool stuff like the seasons, fertility and more stuff. She was straight up in the war against her dad Kronos and the other Titans, and let's just be clear, our girl did NOT back down! After they got done kicking Titan butt, she helped out mortals by teaching them about agriculture. Still not my favorite thing about her though. She literally had a golden chariot pulled by not one but TWO dragons. Talk about a total BAMF! Go Demeter!
