Color of the week: Violet

“ We're the best, duh.”

Welcome back to Color of the Week, and not to toot my own horn but today’s is the best yet! Today’s color is purple. Now before you ask. Yes, I have done purple before, the Cabin Leaders purple. This purple is violet. The violet shade of the Marketing Team! (Yeah us!)

As you might know, I, Katniss Baily, am a part of the Marketing Team. My colleagues and I are in charge of making posts on our online platforms. Writing blogs for our wonderful readers, you guys, love to read, is also a key part of our online presence.

When Greek mythology is in the mix, violets were created when one of Artemis' nymphs, who had all sworn to stay maidens, was being pursued by her twin brother, Apollo. To protect her nymph, Artemis transformed her into a violet, which in turn led the violet to become a symbol of modesty. Violets are also commonly known as a symbol of humility.

Though our time was short, I hope you enjoyed this week’s issue of Color of the Week, and please IM me if you have any color suggestions, questions, or ideas! See you next week.
