Flower Power

You might be wondering who I am, and why this blog has appeared on your screen. My name is Phythia Peony, and I am the best child of Aphrodite. Of course, others would likely say otherwise, but just do not listen to them. Listen to me instead! Anyways, being a child of Aphrodite comes with many perks. For one my beauty is drop-dead gorgeous, although that has nothing to do with my mother. Aphrodite children aren't just shallow and all about their looks, except me I am but can you blame me?! I mean look at me! So I am getting a tad off-topic, one of the perks is being able to make a flower bloom. In this bi-weekly blog, we shall take a closer look at flowers. Their beauty, their purpose, and of course appreciate the many different kinds. If you would like to learn about any other flowers, send me an Iris Message.

Orchid
This weeks flower is known as Orchid, other common names for it are Tiger Lady. The name Orchid actually gets its name from Ancient Greece because of its look. The colors of a Orchid is purple, there really are no variations. A part from there just being light purple, dark purple and mixes in between. They are a really old flower, and date back several centuries. It isn't the oldest flower but it is on the list of old flowers. They also take several years to actually bloom. As they can also be very hard to care for too. Only those who are experts are have knowledge about them should take them on. For while they are really pretty flowers, they are just very difficult. But they really can be found everywhere but Antartica which makes sense as it is way too cold there. As for the meaning it depends on who you ask. I prefer that it means luxury but ir can also mean love or beauty, some even say strenght.
