Flower Power

You might be wondering who I am, and why this blog has appeared on your screen. My name is Phythia Peony, and I am the best child of Aphrodite. Of course, others would likely say otherwise, but just do not listen to them. Listen to me instead! Anyways, being a child of Aphrodite comes with many perks. For one my beauty is drop-dead gorgeous, although that has nothing to do with my mother. Aphrodite children aren't just shallow and all about their looks, except me I am but can you blame me?! I mean look at me! So I am getting a tad off-topic, one of the perks is being able to make a flower bloom. In this bi-weekly blog, we shall take a closer look at flowers. Their beauty, their purpose, and of course appreciate the many different kinds. If you would like to learn about any other flowers, send me an Iris Message.

Tulip
This weeks flower is known as Tulip, other common names for it are mainly just other tulip named flowers. There is the Parrot Tulip which probably has the most unique name then there is the Garden Tulip too which is nice sounding. The colors of a Tulip really varies but the common color is yellow. The rarest color for a tulips is actually blue. Many try to make them blue but they generally come out a purple color. If you are someone that likes perfection then this is the perfect flower for you. As a tulip is known for the shape it is very near or actually symmetrical. Meaning if you cut it in half then it would be perfect. It is native to mainly Southern Europe where it is common to see fields of them there. They can also be found in Central Asia as well. Though they really can be found anywhere as long as they have nice shade. The flower has a few meanings which are: as mentioned before perfect given their shape, but they also can mean deep love too.
