Flower Power

You might be wondering who I am, and why this blog has appeared on your screen. My name is Phythia Peony, and I am the best child of Aphrodite. Of course, others would likely say otherwise, but just do not listen to them. Listen to me instead! Anyways, being a child of Aphrodite comes with many perks. For one my beauty is drop-dead gorgeous, although that has nothing to do with my mother. Aphrodite children aren't just shallow and all about their looks, except me I am but can you blame me?! I mean look at me! So I am getting a tad off-topic, one of the perks is being able to make a flower bloom. In this bi-weekly blog, we shall take a closer look at flowers. Their beauty, their purpose, and of course appreciate the many different kinds. If you would like to learn about any other flowers, send me an Iris Message.

Moonflower
This week's flower is known as Moonflower, other common names for it are mainly just other moon vine or the one that doesn't really fit morning glory. Then there are some names it is also known as but aren't really commonly called which are jimsonweed (makes no sense to me but whatever), thorn apple (again makes no sense), and lastly devil's trumpet (why even). There really isn't any variety of colors for this flower, it is either just white or purple. There are some that can be grown pink or blue but sometimes those are just modified and not natural. The white is the most common as that is the color often associated with this flower. Moonflower symbolizes a few things it symbolizes romance, so maybe instead of a boring rose get your partner a moonflower instead. The flower also represents mystery, does this flower represent the mystery cluster then? It is grown in places that are really sunny as it does need a decent amount of sunlight (6 hours). These places are known as the tropics, but they can be found in the United States more specifically they can be found growing in Florida. The reason for the name is because it blooms not during the day but in the evening or night, and as they are white it is like a full moon. So if you are loving for a lovely flower that means love then this is the perfect pick for you. They don't even require a lot of maintenance either, they are super easy to care for.
