Demigod Delicacies
❝The First Bite❞

Hi there fellow demigods! My name is Anemone Maverick and I will be your chef for today! I'm sure you've all had amazing food, cooked by amazing chefs but I can guarantee that you've never had demigod magic infused food before! My mama was a demigod so she taught me some amazing recipes and my mission is to share them all with you! Today's delicacy shall beee:

CAT CAKESS!!

Now, I know what you all are thinking. How could this possibly be magic infused? Well, these aren't just regular looking cakes shaped like cats! They bounce around and meow as well! I know, so cute!

Now, before I begin I want you to know, only try this recipe at home without the magic! The magic won't work unless you're in camp half-blood! Since that's out of the way, here are the ingredients you require for the cat cakes:

♥ 2 large eggs
♥ 2 large egg yolks
♥ ¼ cup sugar
♥ ⅛ teaspoon salt
♥ 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
♥ ½ cup unsalted butter
♥ 6 ounces bittersweet chocolate chopped
♥ 3 cat's whiskers
♥ Fairy dust sugar to taste
 
(You won't choke on the whiskers!)

Our first step would be to turn on the oven. Never want to forget that! This time we will be pre-heating to 450F. When you've finished that, take out your Magic Molds™ and flour them. These Magic Molds are what will turn your cakes into magic cats. Find them at the Camp Store today!



Next, combine the butter and chocolate in a double boiler and melt over low heat, stirring until smooth. You want it to be so smooth that you feel like licking it off your spoon. (Don't do it though! I know it's tempting but don't!)



Next, you wanna cut the cat whiskers up into tiny dices, kind of like spring onions.



Then, combine the eggs, egg yolks, sugar, salt and the chopped up cat whiskers. Beat them together in a mixer on medium speed until it's thick and pale yellow.



Then you gotta fold the chocolate mixture and flour into the egg mixture with a rubber spatula. Folding is exactly how it sounds. You have to fold the batter into itself kind of like a papper. Keep doing it until everything is mixed well together.



Finally, divide the batter up into the cat-shaped Magic Molds™ and put them in the oven for 6-8 minutes or until the sides of the cake is firm but the inside is still jiggly.



Once you take them out, let them cool in the molds for 1 minute. Then, sprinkle them with the fairy dust sugar and they should come to live and bounce around!

To eat them, all you have to do is take a fork and squish the top of the cake you wanna eat and it'll split open and release the chocolatey gooeyness inside the cake.



MMMMM!! That looks so good! If you wanna store these for later though, all you have to do is trap them in a container and refridgerate them! The cold usually makes the magic go away. Usually.
