Winter Solstice is December 21 of every year, it is technically the shortest day of the year. While it may not be as widely celebrated as it once was, this cannot be said for the people in Greece, oh no, it is said that no expense is spared when it comes to this time of the year. In fact the winter solstice was spent celebrating the feast of Poseidon. Throughout this time, there were many different activities held for both men and women, such as but not limited to; sacrificing of animals, wine drinking, questionably shaped cakes, lighting of a bonfire and more. Then, on the next day, more celebration is held.

For the sake of celebration of the Winter Solstice, the Modern Muses will be having a mood board competition. The focus of it can be one of three options, which are; POSEIDON, KHIONE or BOREAS. You will have until the 24th! There will be three winners, each of which will get frosty exciting prizes. You can send it to CASSANDRA ESCARRA.
