About Mount Olympus

The highest peak in Greece is where you can find Mount Olympus. It is located on the border of two cities whose names are Thessaly and Macedonia. Whether you wish to go to see the view or even to climb it is a must go to travel place. It is considered a level 3 climb, meaning you do need to be experienced climber. It is not really due to the height of it, which is only 2,917 meters (9,570 feet) tall which is 3 times smaller than Mount Everest. Weather has a habit of being unpredictable which can make for dangerous conditions. Not to mention there is areas that are rather rocky which requires you to watch your footing. Not watching your footing can leave you at risk for falling.

All great things must come to an end, the same happened to Mount Olympus. Once the home of the Olympian Gods, the original one to be exact. Now while Olympus is no longer located on the Mount due to civilizaion moving. That doesn't mean it is lacking Olympians. It is rumored that giants still occupy Mount Olympus. As for why Mount Olympus is no longer home to Olympus it is quite simple. Civilization moved western and Olympus did too. Olympus seemed to move where life moved, as the world evolved it did too. Though no longer in its first home it is leaving its mark within its name.
