Who is Poseidon?

Poseidon is the God of the sea, as well as earthquakes, horses, and storms. He is most oftenly noted as one of the Big Three. The trio not meant to have children, yet all did. The brother of Zeus, and Hades, son of Kronos and Rhea. His wife is Amphitrite, as for his children, he does have quite a lot of them. The most noticeable child Poseidon has would have to be Percy Jackson! While stubborness runs in the family compared to Zeus, Poseidon seems to have learned to mature with time. Perhaps with age does come wisdom for some as it does seem to have worked for him. He is very caring for his children, looking out for them, and loving them. Now the God of the sea most definetly would know of some summer activities or just things to do on a hot boring day!

Sunken Treasure
This game is very easy to set up, as the saying goes one person's trash is another person's treasure! This game can be played at the beach or even in a backyard!

At the Beach: The game consists of looking for things that are discarded then placing them in trash cans. For each piece collected someone earns a seashell, at the end, how many sea shells you find is how many holes you dig. Think of all you might unearth!

At Home: Someone could take rocks and hide them around the area. Then someone else can be tasked to go on an expideition to find them. It is also a lot of fun to do so in the pool as well! Someone can take foam or plastic items and throw them near the person, this is considered the treasure. Then with their eyes closed the person has to try to find the item, within a few minutes. If they do then they get the treasure, at the end whoever has the most wins!

Aquatic Racing
At the Beach: This game can be played in different ways, a team of two, or by doing so individually. If it is a team of two, then one person can lay or sit on a boogie board, then someone else can pull them. It is a race so whichever team gets to the end first or farthest out wins! It can also just be individually racing against someone else, whether it being: who can hold their breathe the longest, who can swim the longest, who can not be knocked down by a wave. Anything is possible as long as you are having fun and are safe!

At Home: This game can be played with teams or it can be individuals against each other. There can be a team where someone sits on a towel, a piece of card board, or any other flat surface, then someone else pushes or pulls them. It could be played individually by someone sitting on something then scootching themselves. For some more added fun you can add some obstacles, or make the area slick, just make sure to be careful!

Octopus Tag
This Game Can be Played in Any Environment: It is better to play with a group of people. The point of the game is to collect the other players tentacles. Everyone has a pool noodle, and you are trying to tag other players with it. You can either tap them with it, throw it at them, or touch them with it. If you manage to get them then they have to give you their pool noodle. At the end whoever has the most tentacles wins the game!
