Who is Zeus?

The better question would be who isn't Zeus given how well known that he is. Zeus is known as being the God of Gods. As Zeus is the king of Olympus, given he saved everyone from his father. He is the God of Thunder, Lightning, and the Sky. he is some that you did not want to anger. Of course, you never wanted to anger any God, but Zeus more so. Zeus is the one that is considered to be at the top of the pyramid. He is considered to be the one of the most highest, the one who is number 1, and in the center.

Personality of Zeus in PJO

There actually is a difference to how Zeus is within the PJO universe compared to that of Greek Mythology. Rick Riordan had wanted to make a universe that was safe for children (give that is part of his target audience.) Not to mention Rick Riordan had his own perspective on Greek Mythology, and used it for his creative freedom. Within the Percy Jackson Universe, there is a change in how Zeus is portrayed. He is still as what some would say a womanizer, but it doesn't take up his whole personality. He is still authoratative within the series as he does make for someone in charge, a leader. Though in the series we can also see that he cares for his children, as seen with Thalia Grace. He is seen more as a modernized version where he is more relatable, and doesn't rely on things from ancient Greek. Where his viewpoints on society has adapted somewhat, where he doesn't look down on mortal people that much.

Zeus' Master Bolt

Within the First Book of the Percy Jackson series we are introduced to the mighty Master Bolt. It is not gigantic compared to other weapons, if you lined up two foot-long sandwiches end to end, that'd be the size of the bolt. Though as many comment on looks can be deceiving which is certainly true for the bolt. It is said that the Master Bolt is far worse than a hydrogen bomb. Which means it doesn't just pack a punch, it packs a lot of them. As for the bolt itself, it had certainly seen some things. It was the first weapon crafted by the Elder Cyclops. It has survived quite a long time, been through lots of lighning, and survived getting stolen.

Zeus' Appearance in PJO

If you looked at Zeus you might have thought he was your typical office worker. It did make sense in a way given that Mount Olympus was located at the top of The Empire State building. He certainly had the attire of someone who worked in an office or business. He was really tall which helped to give him the demeanor of a leader, as many were intimated by him. He towered over others due to him being so tall. He did not look old but he did look aged. His hair was black but had a mix of white with grey within in it. Though as godly beings had the ability to change their appearance, this is just one of his many.
