Doc is in the house, campers! Recently this week on my way back from Myths and Legends class, I tripped while walking up the stairs into the Iris cabin and scraped my knee. Ouch! Luckily, I knew exactly what to do, thanks to Medical Training class. Bruises and cuts are just a portion of what’d you be learning in the class- there’s so much more to learn!
See, when you’re a demigod, normal-looking things can sometimes be much more dangerous that one may think. Take the legend Percy Jackson - his sixth-grade pre-algebra teacher tried to kill him! Monsters, obviously are a basic danger. When we train, we’re more likely to get hurt as well. You can get injured sword fighting or working with weapons, as well as whenever we engage in combat. We’re also prone to injury when we forge and do archery around camp.
During quests, we might find ourselves in dangerous situations, such as (but not limited to) severe weather, physical exhaustion, and more. Not to mention the monsters with abilities to spit acid, cut you, burn you, and hurt you and your friends. But never fear, demigods! In Medical Training, you might just learn how to save a life!
The course is taught by the recently hired, awesome daughter of Nike, Celeste Grayson! And let me tell you, she’s doing a fantastic job. She keeps her lessons engaging, educational, and fun!
Campers everywhere have reported looking forward to doing the homework. Skyler Hallows, a fifth-year camper states that:
“The requirements are normally pretty easy to meet and you can expand on your personality and also have a lot of humor. If people love to write and research fun things, this is a really great class."
Medical training is a must-do in terms of classes. For both demigods and mortals (although, if you’re a mortal at camp, what are you doing? You aren’t supposed to be here!), the information taught will carry you far in your journey as a hero.
Once again, I do hope you take this class (you’ll need it!). Good luck, demigods!
I sincerely hope all demigods choose to take this course. After all, it could make all the difference in your life. Good luck, demigods.
