Camper of the Month
August 2022
Hello fellow campers! Welcome back to Camper of the Month!
It's time to appreciate those who make our time in Camp Half-Blood more bearable.
We are so proud to bring you this month's Camper of the Month.
He is known for his work on the site's Quest Team and is always a welcoming presence in chat. Give a warm round of applause to August's Camper of the Month:
Cornelius Smith
We thought we'd ask him some questions, so his fellow Campers would get to know him better.
The Marketing Team
Congratulations! You're our camper of the month! What was your reaction like after reading the news?
Cornelius Smith
I was honestly shocked! I never thought this would ever happen to me after I arrived at camp, I always thought I would disappear into the crowds, never that I would have the pleasure of being picked for such a big honor.
The Marketing Team
It's great to have someone guide you through camp. We're curious.. Why don't you tell everyone something about the person behind Cornelius?
Cornelius Smith
I'm just a regular highschool student looking into a career in law. I stumbled upon this site on accident a couple years ago, looking for something to do, and now here I am 2 years later, receiving camper of the month. It's been a journey to see what I thought would just be a little roleplay turn into a place for me to meet new people and make great friends! I feel truly lucky to have found this place.
When I'm not on WoO (which is rare) I am more than likely doing school work, playing stardew valley or the Sims, working two jobs, or nowadays watching stranger things (I'm on season two!! I know, I know. I'm way late on that trend).
The Marketing Team
You sure sound like an interesting person! Has it always been your dream to become part of the Quest Team?
Cornelius Smith
It was never my dream per say, but I always wanted to help the camp in any way I could, and the quest job was just right for me. It's aloud me to output my creative mind into fun events for my fellows campers. I couldn't ask for a better job.
The Marketing Team
You're doing a very good job in our opinion. Now.. it wouldn't be us if we didn't have at least one weird question in this interview: Would you rather have garlic breath or onion breath? Explain your decision!
Cornelius Smith
Onion breath, because if I ever got into a fight, I could simply breath on them to make them start crying, giving me the upper hand. Plus if I ever made an emotional speech it would help me.
The Marketing Team
Thank you so much for the interview! Is there anything you would like to say to your fellow campers?
Cornelius Smith
I would just like to thank everyone for getting me to where I am now and allowing me to be here today! Special shoutout to my sister Lily for taking me in and making me feel comfortable at camp.
Now, Cornelius, We have a surprise for you. Two very special people in your life would like to say something to you:
Messages for Cornelius

Corn is really nice to everyone everywhere at any time, he’s also really intelligent. As well as this he’s also supportive of other people who are struggling! He also never talks behind anyone’s back like other people may do. As well as this he’s always positive about everything and that makes him pleasant to be around.
Anak Aitken
Corn is a great person and he's really smart! I could never imgaine another person like him. And he is really fun to be around!
Now fellow campers, it's up to you to decide, who will be our next camper of the month. You have time until THURSDAY, 15th SEPTEMBER 2022 to send an IM with your nominee to either Esme Nicholson or Helena Brown.
We need the following information:
- Name and Cluster of your Nominee
- At least two good reasons, why your Nominee deserves to be our camper of the month.
Please do not nominate yourself!
Look around site and see which campers make camp life a bit better for YOU!
This is your chance to show your appreciation for them.
Until next time, Campers!
