Class Debrief

Have you ever wondered which classes to take but wanted to know more? Well, here you are.  Each week we will look at a different class offered at Camp Half-Blood.

Today's class is Monsters 101

Hello demigods, and welcome to another class debrief! Today we’ll be covering a class that is absolutely essential to any demigod. Have you ever encountered someone or something that seemed quite strange? Maybe your social studies teacher had fangs for teeth, or maybe you could have sworn your best friend had hooves for feet. There’s one thing common about both of these situations- they’re monsters!

So, you’ve seen a monster. Now what? You need to figure out what the monster is first to know whether it’s friendly or dangerous- and if it’s dangerous, you’d better run! Luckily, there’s a solution!

Monsters 101 is the perfect course for any demigod to take. One of the biggest threats to demigods is monsters! Monsters, depending on what type, can either help or hurt you. It’s absolutely crucial to know about them. Thankfully, Monsters 101 covers all that and more!

You’ll learn the best way to take down the man with three hearts - Geryon, learn how to solve the Sphinx’s riddle, and so much more! And what’s to worry about when you’ve got such a great instructor?

The course is taught by quite an amazing daughter of Hephaestus, Xavienna Cameron!

Xavienna is an amazing instructor when it comes to Monsters 101 - her lessons are so much fun to do. You’ll get to compete in races, pretend you’re an ancient hero, and learn about all the monsters waiting for you outside the camp! Elijah Anderson, the assistant instructor teaches right alongside her, and you might even get to learn a bit from him as well!

Monsters 101 is quite an excellent course if I do say so myself. BaekHo Kim, a former coworker of mine, stated about the lessons that:

“They are so interactive and won't make you bored, Xavienna also gives a lot of information in them, so you can do it easily even without searching everywhere. “

That’s all for today, campers! I hope you choose to take this class!
