Camper of the Month
Whittnee Terradora - September 2021

Hello Camp Half-Blood! Welcome to the third Non-Staff Camper of the Month Interview! My name is Celeste Grayson, and I'm giving you the inside look at the camper in this month's shining spotlight!

Celeste: "Hello Whittnee! Congratulations on being picked as our Camper of the Month! Why don't you tell me a bit about yourself?"

Whittnee: "Alright!! Well, my name is Whittnee Storm Terradora. I'm seventeen years old, a daughter of Poseidon, and am in the Force cluster. (Go Forks!!) Some of my favorite activities are horseback riding, training, and writing music. I also love swimming. I know, what a surprise. The fish girl likes to swim. XD When I'm not training or swimming, you can usually find me curled up somewhere quiet reading or watching something. A few of my favorite books are The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, the original Star Wars trilogy, and a series called Mortal Sight. Recently I've been watching the Umbrella Academy, Titans, A Silent Voice (for the 5,000th time) and, of course, Star Wars. It's one of my best friend's favorite movies, and a few years ago, he got me back into it.... Anyway, lately I've been looking into what I want to do once I graduate from camp! I already have a job in the city, but that’s only temporary. I’m currently trying to decide what to major in in college."

Celeste: "Well, I can't say much as I love to swim too! What was your inital reaction to receiving camper of the month?"

Whittnee: "Complete and utter shock. I was totally surprised to be receiving this!! After I re-read your message about 20 times, and it finally set in, excitement took over. I may or may not have danced around my cabin...while squealing….hehe. All that to say, I was super excited as well as honoured!"

Celeste: "Aww, well we're certainly honored to have you! I take it you've been at camp for quite some time now. Have you made lots of friends during your time here?"

Whittnee: "I have! I've met a ton of new people, something that pushes me outside my comfort zone, but through that I've managed to make some very sweet, close friends. They've been with me through thick and thin. Some of my closest friends are George Rodriguez and Elijah Karson. I actually met Eli outside of camp before realizing that he was a fellow camper. He and I have become very close. He's kinda like a weird brother type friend to me now! He's been there for me in one of my darkest times. George, I met at a cabin hangout where the two of us immediately became friends. There have been some....rough patches...in our relationship. But he still means a lot to me. He's a total nerd about Star Wars, Cheetos, and boxing. Some of my other friends I've made here are Charlie Rogue, Ebony Bolansi, and Evie Adams, as well as so many others. This place has really become my home, and these people aren't just my friends. They've become my family! "

Celeste: "Awww! I've made some really close friends here too! Camp is such a wonderful place to meet people and make friends! Speaking of friends, what are your thoughts on the visitors we've had at camp recently? Did you get to meet them?"

Whittnee: "I have been able to meet a few of them, yes. I was lucky to get to meet Heracles, who is certainly an...interesting person. I was also unlucky enough to run into Circe, and got turned into a squirrel for a few days, along with Ebony and Charlie. Thankfully we were able to figure out the cure, and turn ourselves back. Other than that, I haven't met any others. I've heard some of the crazy stories though! "

Celeste: "Turned into a squirrel?! My, that sounds like quite an adventure! I bet that's something you'll remember for a very long time! Well Whittnee, that's about all the time I have. Before I go, can you give me your loudest and proudest Forkling cheer!?"

Whittnee: "We are Force, we are strong, Come on Force, Shout along!! Show the others what we've got, Let's go Force, straight to the top!!! "

Celeste: "I love the Forkling pride and spirit!! Thank you for interviewing with me today Whittnee!"

The following is entirely OOG.

Celeste: "Why do you love World of Olympians?"

Whittnee: "Why do I love World of Olympians? That's easy. It gives me a place where I feel like I actually belong. All of the people on here have truly become my family. It gives me a place to really be my true self, and be with other people who are creative and amazing writers!! I get to fall into a completely different world, leaving behind everything that's happening in the real world. It offers me an escape. I feel my happiest when I get to be on here with all of you amazing people. I love all of you so much!!! "
